The digital equipment of AKST "LINE-C" is intended for the organization of high-frequency channels VF, TP, TM, DT, PRECS on high-voltage power lines 35...1150 kV in the information structures of TM, ASKUE, PRECS, dispatching and technological management of power systems and power facilities.

The device for transmitting discrete signals of the PRECS commands
The equipment in the PRECS configuration is designed to organize the HF channel of the PRECS and the transmission of TM channels via a 35-1150 kV transmission line or a dedicated optical cable. In this configuration, the hardware design of the device is optimized, which significantly affected the reduction in the cost of the transceiver.

The Line-R RF signal transceiver is designed to transmit and receive RP signals via a high-frequency communication channel formed by overhead power transmission lines with a voltage from 35 to 1150 kV.
Provides:
• transmission and reception of RP signals; the method of generating RP signals is single–frequency, with amplitude manipulation;
• periodic automatic control of the reserve on the attenuation of the communication channel and the integrity of the input and output circuits;
• service communication between the ends of the protected line during the adjustment of the HF channel;
• transmission and reception of remote start and reset commands;
• automatic withdrawal of protection from action when a fault is detected.

It is intended for complex diagnostics of icy-frost deposits (IFD) on overhead lines with determination of the rate of increase of the ice wall and selection of the optimal moment to start the melting process, which can prevent: sagging and breaks of wires, destruction of fittings, breakage of supports (g) of overhead power lines under the influence of icy formations.
Additionally determines: the place of damage on the overhead line, the type of short circuit for the formation of a signal prohibiting the APV, wire break, wire dismantling for the purpose of theft.

The equipment of the location complex in the mode of detecting and monitoring the dynamics of ice formation on the wires of power lines with a given period probes the controlled lines. The results of probing through the local networks of the substation or GSM channel are transmitted to the dispatcher.
When critical icy deposits appear that can cause an accident, the dispatcher gives a command to perform their melting with subsequent control of the melting process. If there is damage to the line wires by a signal from the relay protection and emergency automation equipment (PRECS ), the location monitoring equipment is switched to the mode of determining the location and type of damage on this line with the prompt transmission of the results to the dispatcher to take the necessary measures.
When the APV is triggered, the location system probes the line and determines the reason for its disconnection.
In the case of a sustained short circuit on the power line, the location complex generates a signal prohibiting the re-connection of the line under voltage in order to save the resources of high-voltage switches.
The equipment of the location complex performs security functions, generating an alarm signal when attempts are made to steal power line wires by dismantling them.

1.1 Main technical characteristics of LC:
